Calling all dads, this one's for you!
Join the WATCH D.O.G.S. Program and Make a Difference!
WATCH D.O.G.S. (Dads of Great Students) is a unique, school-based program that brings fathers and father figures into schools to support education and safety. This innovative initiative by the National Center For Fathering has two main goals:
-
Be a Positive Role Model: Show students that education is important by being present and engaged.
-
Enhance School Security: Provide extra sets of eyes and ears to help reduce bullying and ensure a safe environment.
Who Are WatchDOGS?
WatchDOGS (Dads of Great Students) are fathers, grandfathers, uncles, and other father-figures who volunteer for at least one day each year at an official WATCH D.O.G.S. school. During their day, WatchDOGS might read with students, play at recess, eat lunch with them, monitor school entrances and hallways, assist with traffic flow, and engage in various activities. Their presence has been shown to dramatically reduce bullying and enhance the overall school atmosphere.
How WATCH D.O.G.S. Works We invite fathers, grandfathers, uncles, and other father figures to volunteer at least one full day at their child’s school during the school year.
This year, you can sign up at our Pizza with Papas Event on October 1st from 6 PM to 7 PM, or anytime in the office throughout the school year.
Join us and make a lasting impact on our students and community!
